On 11th December 2018 the 2nd General meeting of the members of the Indian – Bulgarian Business Chamber was held in Sofia, in the presence of the H.E. Petko Doykov, former Ambassador of Republic of Bulgaria in Republic of India, H.E. Eleonora Dimitrova, Ambassador Designate of Republic of Bulgaria in Republic of India and Mr. P. Subhash Nair, Head of Chancery in the Embassy of India.

H.E. Petko Doykov reported about the diplomatic and economic relations between India and Bulgaria during the last years and shared his thoughts about a positive business trend. He provided relevant information about visas related issues as well. H.E. Eleonora Dimitrova confirmed her willingness to support the IBBC members in their business relations with India.

Mr. Boyanov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber gave an overview of the activities during the period March 2017-December 2018. The Report of the Management Board and the 2017 Annual Financial Report of the Chamber have been approved unanimously.

Mr. Boyanov suggested a new candidate for the Board of Directors – Mr. Lovesh Sharma and he was elected by the members unanimously.

A decision to change the Statute of the Chamber was taken – to transform the Chamber from non-profit legal entity for private benefit into non-profit legal entity for activity in public benefit, as it is obviously that the Chamber works for the society.

Mr. Nair from the Embassy of India confirmed his availability and readiness to support the IBBC members in any possible way.

Mr. Radev expressed gratitude on behalf of all the members to Mr. Boyanov for his dedication to the Chamber.

A networking cocktail followed the successful meeting.
