The 12th edition of ‘BENGALURU INDIA NANO 2022’ will be held from 7th – 8th March, 2022 and Tutorials on 9th March, 2022 in the Virtual Format with the central theme ‘Nanotech for Sustainable Future’.

Nanotechnology as an emerging science is expected to have rapid and strong future developments.

It will contribute significantly to economic growth and job creation in the EU in the coming decades. Among others, nanotechnology will play the role of harvesting more energy from the environment. New nano-materials and concepts already developed are showing their capabilities in producing energy from movement, temperature differences, light, glucose and other sources with high efficiency in conversion rate. Scientists and engineers also believe nanotechnology can be used to benefit human health now and in the future through applications such as better filters for improving water purification, more effective methods of delivering drugs in medicine and new ways of repairing damaged tissues and organs.

The event is organised by the Department of Electronics, IT, Bt and S&T, Government of Karnataka under the guidance of Vision Group on Nanotechnology led by Prof. C.N.R. Rao, FRS, Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR). The Event is aimed at giving fillip to the growth of Nanotech Industry in the country.
