The Government of Jharkhand led by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Raghubar Das is organizing the Global Agriculture and Food Summit on 29-30^th November 2018 at Ranchi. This summit is in line with the concept of Doubling Farmers Income Initiative of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, and to ripen high value investment opportunities in agriculture sector of the state.

The Agri Sector in Jharkhand is growing at a rate of 9.2% annually and the allied sector has witnessed sustained growth rates of over 8.5% per annum. The Fisheries Sector has grown at over 17% annually over the last decade. The climatic conditions endow the state with large potential for dairy development given a strong demand exceeding supply by over 100 per cent.

The Jharkhand Food and Feed Processing Policy envisages:

• Infrastructure development through targeted capital investments
• Technological upgradation
• Boosting financial grants-in-aid and credit availability
• Value addition through processing industries
