The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) was founded in 1950 by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, independent India’s first Education Minister. Its objectives are to actively participate in the formulation and implementation of policies and programs pertaining to India’s external cultural relations; to foster and strengthen cultural relations and mutual understanding between India and other countries; to promote cultural exchanges with other countries and people; and to develop relations with nations.

The Competent Authority of the Council has kindly approved the extension of the last date of submission of applications i.e. from 28th February, 2019 to 31st March, 2019 on A2A portal for the Academic Year 2019 – 2020. Age limit for Ph.D students exclusively, is being relaxed from 30 to 45.

The scholarships are at different levels – Undergraduate, Post Graduate, M.Phil., Ph.D., M.Tech, M.E. ICCR does not offer scholarships for courses in medicine stream.
